Places to Visit
Seville is a one hour drive and a visit to the old city is highly recommended. Gothic and Renaissance styles blend harmoniously amidst exuberant patios and gardens, cramped streets and flowered balconies opening into cobbled squares with restaurants offering the best of Andalusian fare! A visit across the Triana bridge over the large Guadalquivir River takes you to the popular quarter of Triana with charming narrow streets and ceramic factories.
El Rompido 10 minutes by car follow the coast road, marvellous views across the estuary over to the protected spit and the Atlantic sea beyond. The spit is made up of sand dunes and lined with magnificient beaches. The fishing village of El Rompido is one of the few remaining tranquil and uncrowded spots on Huelva’s costa de luz – (coast of light, due to the clean air). Bars and restaurants are situated on the waterfront and small fresh food/fish/veg/bread shops here.

Cadiz to the south is one of Europe's oldest cities and is famous for its picturesque charm with many of the buildings reflecting the city's overseas links. Like Seville the cities old quarter is intriguing with narrow cobbled streets opening onto small squares. The golden cupola of the cathedral looms high above long white houses and the whole place has a slightly dilapidated air. It just takes an hour to walk around the headlands where you can visit the entire old town and pass through some lovely parks with sweeping views of the bay.
